SaaS Platform for Suppliers and Marketplace Sellers
My own product — suppliers upload catalogs, sellers copy products and publish them to marketplaces. Stock and prices sync automatically.
The market problem
Marketplace sellers spend an enormous amount of time bringing supplier products into their stores: downloading price lists, filling in listings, keeping track of stock and prices. Stock levels drift out of sync, out-of-stock items keep selling, and customers end up with canceled orders.
The product
HitSalle is a SaaS platform that connects suppliers and sellers.
- Suppliers upload catalogs in XML, YML or Excel
- Sellers pick products, copy them and tailor them to their needs
- Publishing to marketplaces and their own stores via feeds
- Stock and price sync — automatic, with frequency depending on the plan
- Chat between participants inside the platform
Architecture
Three isolated portals — admin, supplier and seller. Each has its own API and access permissions, with a shared core and chat.
- Backend: FastAPI, async SQLAlchemy, Alembic, PostgreSQL 16, Redis, MinIO
- Frontend: React, Vite, Tailwind, Zustand, TanStack Query
- Interface in Ukrainian, Russian and English
- Evolution: the first version was built on 8 microservices with RabbitMQ; the current one is a simplified modular architecture that's easier to evolve
Pricing model: limits on the number of products and marketplaces, sync every 1, 2 or 12 hours, and a trial period.
